Zoff, a prominent eyewear brand managed by Intermestic Co., has embarked on a transformative journey focused on enhancing eye health among students at Joshi Seigakuin Junior and Senior High School, located in Tokyo's Kita Ward. Starting May 9, 2026, Zoff will introduce the first designated school sunglasses in the Kanto region, aimed at shielding students from harsh sunlight and harmful UV rays.
Recognizing a significant socio-environmental issue, Zoff has identified that children are frequently exposed to ultraviolet radiation without adequate protection measures in place. The company intends to establish sunglasses as a common protective accessory rather than a luxury item. This approach is centered on integrating sunglasses as an everyday part of school uniforms, allowing for a natural and effective means of encouraging their use among students.
