Pye-Barker Fire & Safety Introduces Employee Ownership with "ALL In" Initiative

Pye-Barker Launches the "ALL In" Employee Ownership Program

In a groundbreaking move, Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, the leading provider of integrated fire protection and life safety services in the United States, has introduced the "ALL In" employee ownership initiative. This program aims to offer substantial incentive awards to all eligible full-time employees at no personal cost. With this undertaking, Pye-Barker becomes the largest company in the fire and life safety sector boasting an employee ownership model, further demonstrating its unwavering commitment to collective success and a thriving workplace culture.

The "ALL In" program not only represents a financial incentive but also signifies Pye-Barker's dedication to nurturing a culture where all employees feel a sense of pride and ownership. Employees are encouraged to view their roles as pivotal in shaping Pye-Barker's reputation and achievements, which fosters a dedication to exceptional service and safety standards. The program was developed in collaboration with Ownership Works, a nonprofit organization tasked with facilitating wealth generation for employees through ownership stakes.

This new program enhances existing remuneration and benefits by introducing a profit-sharing component. Every full-time employee will receive an initial incentive award without any cost, and subsequent yearly incentives will follow, with the potential for further appreciation as the company sustains its growth.

Bart Proctor, CEO of Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, expressed, "Reaching the scale we have achieved allows us to recognize our team members in this meaningful way. They are the ones who have made this organization so successful. This is their company, and they should take great pride in sharing in the rewards of building a best-in-class organization."

Additionally, existing research indicates that companies sharing success with their employees often experience enhanced customer satisfaction, superior service quality, and higher levels of innovation. Rebecca True, Chief Human Resources Officer of Pye-Barker, emphasized the mission of the organization: "Our mission is to protect lives, livelihoods, and legacies, so we make every effort to treat our customers and team members with care, respect, trust, and a commitment to doing what's right. We are proud to further our investment in our people's aspirations and legacy through the 'ALL In' employee ownership program."

This initiative is a significant enhancement following Pye-Barker's previous announcement in January regarding new private capital that will fuel future growth. As an acknowledgment of their vital contributions that have contributed to this investment, Pye-Barker awarded cash bonuses to its 8,000 full-time team members spanning over 250 locations across 46 states.

Support for the "ALL In" initiative comes from Pye-Barker's key investors, Altas Partners and Leonard Green Partners, L.P., as well as minority stakeholders, including a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and GIC. Scott Werry, managing partner at Altas, expressed confidence in Pye-Barker’s team and its future, stating, "We believe this initiative will empower and align the team as we continue to build a best-in-class fire, life safety, and security organization while fostering a culture in which every team member has the opportunity to thrive."

John Danhakl, managing partner at LGP, echoed these sentiments, stating, "Pye-Barker's success results from the dedication and hard work of every employee. It makes sense to reward their entrepreneurial spirit and genuine care for each other and their communities as the organization grows."

The name "ALL In" highlights Pye-Barker's commitment to collaborative success. It emphasizes that the company is fully invested in the well-being of its workforce, fostering an environment where all employees are together committed to the company’s prosperity.

To celebrate the launch of the "ALL In" program, Pye-Barker will engage in various celebratory activities throughout the week, culminating in a special recognition event at the NASCAR Cup Series race in Daytona on August 23, 2025.
