The Benesse Style Care Group, headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, has commenced the operational management of the '2024 Childcare Director and Senior Caregiver Training Program' sponsored by the Childcare and Family Agency. Following the success of the previous year, this initiative aims to enhance the quality of childcare services nationwide by equipping nursery directors and senior caregivers with the latest information and strategies in the field.
Purpose of the Initiative
The government's recent shift in childcare policy emphasizes a transition from expanding the quantity of childcare services to improving their quality, tailored to local needs. This change represents a commitment to not only address the issue of waiting lists but also to ensure sustainable systems through securing skilled personnel and integrating ICT into operations. The program focuses on developing a robust local framework to cultivate childcare professionals while simultaneously enhancing care quality.
Participants in this program will engage in workshops that emphasize contemporary childcare developments and solutions to operational challenges faced by facilities. The knowledge gained will be shared publicly to support continuous improvement in childcare practices across Japan.
Target Audience
This training is designed for nursery directors and senior caregivers in certified childcare centers, including those slated to take up these roles. The program also caters to lead, instructional, and supervising caregivers, as well as those involved in facilitating practical training within nursery settings. Specific eligibility criteria for each training session can be found on our official website.
Implementation Format
The training will be conducted through two primary formats:
1.
Online Training (Free): Utilizing online meeting platforms like Zoom, participants will receive live lectures tailored to their schedules. Each session has limited capacity.
2.
In-person Training (Free): These training sessions will occur at designated venues where participants will benefit from direct interaction with instructors and peer discussions. Attendees will be responsible for their travel and lodging costs, and any requested printed materials will incur a fee.
