Girl Scouts of the USA Launches Get Ready Program for Future Daisies

The Launch of the Get Ready with Girl Scouts™ Program

The Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) has introduced an exciting new initiative called the Get Ready with Girl Scouts™ program, tailored specifically for incoming Daisies—young girls who are set to enter kindergarten and first grade in the fall of 2025. As summer approaches and the school year looms ahead, this program aims to equip these little girls with the necessary skills and confidence they will need as they embark on a new educational adventure.

Aiming to Build Confidence and Skills

The Get Ready with Girl Scouts™ program will be open for enrollment until June 30, and it is designed to not only be educational but also enjoyable. Current pre-K and kindergarten girls who are new to Girl Scouts will embark on a fun-filled summer, full of activities that foster friendships and encourage personal growth. This initiative will distribute three skill-building activity books to participants between June and August 2025, each packed with engaging tasks that will help unlock a world full of possibilities for these young girls.

Available in both English and Spanish, these activity books are not merely designed for fun, but also for purpose, focusing on essential life skills necessary for success in kindergarten and beyond. The curriculum is crafted around elements that promote motor skills, communication abilities, critical thinking, and emotional regulation, all delivered through imaginative play, puzzles, and teamwork-based activities.

Speeches from GSUSA Leadership

Bonnie Barczykowski, CEO of GSUSA, expressed her enthusiasm for the program, noting, "Starting a new school year is a huge transition for girls, and Girl Scouts is thrilled to help parents and caregivers prepare for these milestone years." The program is not only about learning but also about fostering resilience and self-esteem, ensuring that girls feel confident and prepared to tackle the challenges that lie ahead in their educational journeys. This commitment to building self-esteem is particularly vital, as it forms the foundation upon which these young girls can build their future successes, whether in school or in life.

Membership Benefits and Opportunities

Upon signing up for the Get Ready with Girl Scouts™ program, participants will automatically receive Girl Scout membership until September 30, 2026. This membership offers girls a variety of fun activities and the opportunity to connect with supportive peers and mentoring adults well into their first educational years and beyond.

The program is more than just an educational initiative; it's about community and connection, encouraging girls to surround themselves with a network that promotes mutual support and growth. As they engage in a variety of Girl Scout activities, girls will be empowered to discover their interests and develop a passion for challenges.
