Supporting California Wildfire Relief
In a tremendous effort to support those affected by recent wildfires in California, OTT.X has announced a partnership with Cineverse and Pledge. This initiative aims to leverage the power of streaming media to provide critical funds for various charities aiding recovery efforts.
Who Are the Partners?
OTT.X has been a significant player in the home entertainment industry for over 30 years as a non-profit trade association. Cineverse, a next-generation entertainment studio, is well-known for its wide range of streaming content. Pledge is a fundraising platform recognized for its innovative approach in mobilizing support for numerous charitable initiatives.
The Initiative
The collaboration involves donating connected TV (CTV) advertising inventory to highlight charities assisting those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires. Viewers are encouraged to participate by texting "GIVELA" to 707070 or scanning a QR code available through various streaming channels. This campaign is expected to reach approximately 80 million viewers each month through Cineverse’s extensive network.
Cineverse has created a 15-second advertisement that calls on audiences to contribute to wildfire relief efforts. Members of OTT.X are also encouraged to run this ad across their platforms. Notable channels involved in this initiative include
Barney,
Comedy Dynamics, and
The Bob Ross Channel, among others.
Cineverse has further committed to supporting these causes by donating $10,000 to be shared among ten selected charities focused on wildfire relief.
Supporting Charities
The charitable organizations receiving support from these efforts include:
- - Altadena Girls: This organization helps young girls rebuild their confidence and sense of self after the traumatic disruptions caused by wildfires.
