DuPont Achieves Perfect Score in Human Rights Campaign's 2025 Corporate Equality Index

DuPont Achieves Unprecedented Recognition in Corporate Equality

In a significant milestone for corporate diversity and inclusion, DuPont (NYSE: DD) has been awarded a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2025 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). This accolade not only showcases DuPont's unwavering commitment to LGBTQ+ workplace equality but also positions the company as a leader in fostering an inclusive environment for all employees.

The Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index is an important benchmarking survey that meticulously evaluates how companies address LGBTQ+ equality within their workplaces. For 2025, DuPont has not only met but exceeded all the standards set by the CEI, thus earning the distinguished Equality 100 Award. This award recognizes organizations that implement outstanding queer-friendly workplace policies and promote inclusivity not just in the U.S. but also internationally.

Kim Markiewicz, Chief Diversity Equity and Inclusion Officer at DuPont, emphasized the company’s ambition to become one of the most inclusive workplaces globally. Markiewicz remarked, “At DuPont, we've set a goal to become one of the world's most inclusive workplaces, in line with our core values and our purpose of empowering the world with essential innovations to thrive.”

The criteria for the CEI encompasses four core pillars: Non-discrimination policies across business entities, equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families, fostering an inclusive culture, and corporate social responsibility. DuPont’s approach to these aspects has cemented its status as a frontrunner in employee and community engagement surrounding diversity.

The 2025 CEI report reflects historical data from over 22 million U.S. workers and an additional 18 million individuals employed overseas. The comprehensive analysis allows employees to gauge how their employers stack up against their competitors in terms of providing essential protections and supportive environments.

In addition to receiving a 100% score, DuPont has made significant strides towards creating a workplace that harnesses the power of diversity to fuel innovation and success. The company is committed to an inclusive culture through a number of initiatives, including extensive employee benefits, stringent anti-discrimination policies, and a variety of employee resource groups, such as DuPont Pride, which serves as a support network for LGBTQ+ employees.

Moreover, the company's commitment goes beyond internal practices. DuPont emphasizes supplier diversity and connects with a range of partners who share a similar dedication to inclusivity. This not only strengthens DuPont's community relationships but also sets an example for other corporations to follow.

Markiewicz concludes with recognition of the ongoing journey, stating that while the perfect score is a commendable achievement, the work toward inclusivity continues. “We recognize it doesn't mean our work is complete,” Markiewicz added, reinforcing the company's pledge to further develop a supportive workplace culture.

As DuPont moves forward, it remains focused on embracing diversity in all its forms, building an environment where every employee feels accepted and valued. With a clear vision of inclusion driving its strategy, DuPont stands out as a beacon of hope in the corporate landscape.
