Celebrating 'Organizational Culture and Leadership' in Tokyo
On August 1, a special event will take place in Tokyo to commemorate the launch of the fifth edition of "Organizational Culture and Leadership" by Edgar H. Schein. This significant work highlighted the dynamics between culture and leadership within organizations and has served as a cornerstone in the field of organizational psychology since its first Japanese translation in 1989. Now published by Hakutou Shobou, the latest edition addresses recent developments such as globalization, digital transformation, and the values of the millennial generation.
The event will be hosted by Trustyyle Co., Ltd., led by Yosuke Yoshida, the director of the Human Resource Library, a community aimed at HR professionals. Our guest speaker for the evening will be Professor Riki Uda from Aoyama Gakuin University, who has supervised and translated the Japanese version of this influential book.
During the event, Professor Uda will discuss the key messages that Schein intended to convey through this publication and how attendees can apply these insights in practical settings. This occasion will also provide a platform for exchanging opinions, allowing participants to dive deeper into the critical concepts surrounding organizational culture and how it can be shaped and changed.
