Huawei Connect Europe 2026: Driving Digital and Green Change
On November 6, 2026, the vibrant city of Florence, Italy, hosted the 11th edition of
Huawei Connect Europe, an event marking a significant milestone in technological collaboration. At this gathering, Huawei introduced its strategy, focusing on supporting Europe’s digital and green transformation in partnership with over 5,000 stakeholders. The event, themed "Contributing to the Development of a Smart and Green Europe," showcased how digital technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, can accelerate this transformation.
The keynote was delivered by David Wang, Huawei's Deputy Chairman and Rotating Chairman, highlighting the critical role of technological innovation and collaboration in this journey. Wang emphasized, "While Europe’s digital and green transformation is accelerating, our mission at Huawei is to offer concrete solutions to the challenges our customers face through technological innovation. Transitioning to a smart world is happening faster than ever. Various sectors across Europe are gearing up to significantly enhance their productivity with the support of cutting-edge technologies. We remain committed to working for and with Europe, exploring new opportunities for joint successes, and contributing to a smarter, greener Europe through open cooperation."
Furthermore, Huawei introduced its new
SCALE framework tailored specifically for the European market. Huawei’s Senior Vice President, Leo Chen, elaborated on this initiative, stating, "Huawei operates for Europe, focusing on local client needs, transforming technological innovations into tangible solutions that support the continent’s digital and green transformation."
Chen identified two main focal areas in Huawei's European operations: developing innovative products and solutions catering to local industry needs and enabling partners to provide more effective services to European customers.
The SCALE framework consists of five key components:
Scenario-Based Solutions (S),
Collaborative Innovation (C),
Aligned Marketing (A),
Local Services and Consistent Quality (L), and
Efficient Collaboration (E). With this framework, Huawei aims to empower local partners to create innovative solutions that address customer needs more effectively, seamlessly integrate Huawei technologies into existing services, and enhance service capabilities. This will reinforce Huawei's collaborative efforts with its partners across Europe to bolster the region's digital and green transformation.
The event also featured discussions from top executives across various sectors, further emphasizing the need for a collective approach toward Europe's digital and green initiatives. Notable speakers included Pierre Francois Rudant, Chief Technology Officer at Auchan Retail; Federico Ascoli, Chairman of ALSO Extended Group Board Platforms; Sergio Grassi, Country Manager at Zeliatech; and Marcel Poser, Co-founder of Screening Eagle Technologies. Their insights underscored the unique applications of smart technologies in their respective sectors.
