Gaiax and GTIE Host Entrepreneurship Workshop for Elementary Students



Gaiax, a company committed to fostering entrepreneurship through collaboration with academia and government, is excited to announce an upcoming workshop designed specifically for elementary school students. This initiative is part of the Greater Tokyo Innovation Ecosystem (GTIE), a collaborative platform that aims to cultivate startups that can change the world. Together, they will engage young minds in an entrepreneurship workshop that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.

Workshop Overview


The workshop, officially titled "Elementary School Entrepreneurship Workshop," will take place on December 14, 2025, from 14:00 to 16:30 at the Tokyo Innovation Base. Targeted at students in grades 4 to 6, the workshop is designed for those who love coming up with ideas, want to help others, and are curious about work and careers. Approximately 50 participants will be selected through a lottery system if applications exceed this number.

Purpose and Support


This workshop is part of a broader program endorsed by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) that is focused on fostering entrepreneurial ecosystems within educational institutions. The objective is to expand access to entrepreneurship education among youth, encouraging them to identify problems around them and come up with innovative solutions.

  • - Instructor: Mr. Yoshikawa Kousei, head of the Entrepreneurship Education division at Gaiax's Startup Studio. With a background in promoting inquiry-based and entrepreneurial education at high schools, Mr. Yoshikawa brings valuable experience in developing programs that engage students in real-world problem-solving.

Workshop Schedule


The workshop will include various activities designed to stimulate creativity and critical thinking:
  • - 14:00–14:10: Introduction, including welcoming remarks and an icebreaker session.
  • - 14:10–14:50: Participants will identify everyday problems and brainstorm solutions collaboratively in groups.
  • - 14:50–15:00: Short break.
  • - 15:00–15:15: Learning about idea generation and the value of products and services.
  • - 15:15–15:35: Analyzing how to provide value to those facing identified problems and formulating ideas into tangible solutions.
  • - 15:35–16:00: Participants will prepare and present their ideas in a storytelling format.
  • - 16:00–16:20: Final presentations where ideas are shared with the whole group.
  • - 16:20–16:30: Wrap-up discussion to reinforce key learning points and the significance of entrepreneurship.
