NAMAKORIUM Early Access Announcement
Polyscape Inc., headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, has officially announced the early access date for its casual multiplayer RTS game,
NAMAKORIUM, featuring the adorable sea cucumber protagonists. On
January 30, 2026, players will be able to join the adventure at an initial price of
1,500 yen. However, to celebrate the early access launch, the game will be available at a special discount of
1,200 yen for a limited time.
As part of the excitement, players are encouraged to add NAMAKORIUM to their wishlist now on platforms like Steam.
Engaging Community Through Crowdfunding
Following the demo's release between
October 14 and October 27, 2025, the response revealed a high demand for merchandise featuring the cute sea cucumbers. In light of this, Polyscape has decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign starting on
January 9, 2026, to support NAMAKORIUM's global IP expansion. This initiative aims to develop more products, including plush toys and figures, which fans have overwhelmingly requested.
For those interested in contributing to this crowdfunding effort, details can be found on the dedicated crowdfunding page available
here.
Features of the Early Access Version
The early access version of NAMAKORIUM will introduce eight distinct stages—a significant increase from the two available in the demo—with varying difficulty levels. Additionally, players will now have the option for random matchmaking, allowing them to join up with others seamlessly without needing to coordinate play times.
The developers have received valuable feedback from the demo and are keen to continue optimizing the gameplay experience. Positive comments highlighted the charming visual appeal of the sea cucumbers and the strategic depth required for completing missions together with friends. This collaborative gameplay, while sometimes chaotic, promises unforgettable gaming moments.
Gameplay Mechanics
In NAMAKORIUM, players command multiple sea cucumbers to carry out essential tasks: gather resources, construct buildings, and tackle ocean pollution. The key is efficiently managing your team to cleanse various polluted areas before resources run out.
You'll encounter unique sea cucumbers, each with their own special abilities, such as the limestone-gathering
Shell Sea Cucumber and the ore-mining
Iron Sea Cucumber. To succeed, you'll need to cleverly assign roles based on each cucumber's traits.
As players progress in cleaning the ocean, coral will begin to flourish, restoring the ecosystem and revealing over 40 species of maritime creatures that brighten up the ocean once more. However, challenges such as
Oke-Gare—a monstrous end result of pollution—will demand teamwork to defeat it with the strategic
Cucumber Cannon.
Charming Visuals & Engaging Mechanics
Players will be greeted by gorgeous in-game visuals that evolve as pollution is removed, enhancing the beauty of the ocean and creating a more immersive experience. The combination of fun characters and substantial strategic elements will keep players engaged for hours.
