SHPT's Groundbreaking Presentation at the World Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam
From May 19 to 21, 2026, the vibrant city of Rotterdam in the Netherlands played host to the 7th World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition, one of the most significant global platforms for hydrogen energy. This year's event drew in an impressive 18,500 participants, including representatives from over 100 countries and 500 enterprises, all eager to explore advancements in hydrogen technology and discuss international cooperation.
Among the notable attendees was SHPT, which made its Dutch debut at the summit. The company showcased its flagship products—the PROME M4H fuel cell stack and the P4H fuel cell system. Additionally, SHPT's booth was laden with innovations from its Series-5 line, featuring demonstrations of fuel cell vehicles, various business cases, and collaborations aimed at enhancing the hydrogen energy landscape. This display attracted considerable attention from global clientele, with potential partners from the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Chile, South Korea, Turkey, and more, expressing interest in collaborative ventures.
In conjunction with the exhibition, SHPT participated actively in high-level dialogues addressing hydrogen energy's future. A notable highlight was its involvement in the China-Netherlands Hydrogen Energy Forum, organized by the China Hydrogen Alliance, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, and the Port of Rotterdam Authority. This forum focused on building a sustainable ecosystem for hydrogen energy, underscoring the commitment of nations to work hand-in-hand towards this goal.
At the thematic forum titled Next Generation Mobility Hydrogen Fuelling Heavy Freight, chaired by Dr. Emma Guthrie, CEO of the UK Hydrogen Energy Association, SHPT's Product Proposal Operation Director, Lv Jiaming, shared insights alongside industry leaders like Joachim Ladra of cellcentric GmbH & Co. KG and Florentin de Loppinot, CEO of TEAL Mobility. This panel discussion covered the latest advancements in fuel cell equipment, hydrogen heavy-duty vehicles, refueling infrastructure, and the logistical implications of these developments.
Lv Jiaming provided attendees with an overview of China's journey in the hydrogen energy sector and its fuel cell vehicle industry, highlighting noteworthy achievements while addressing ongoing challenges related to policy frameworks, technology standards, and practical application scenarios. He pointed out the European market's unique characteristics, indicating that fuel cell vehicles in this region are on the brink of a substantial breakthrough, especially in the medium- to long-haul transportation sector. This optimism stems from the increasing involvement of various countries in advancing related research and pilot programs.
As SHPT wrapped up its engagements in the Netherlands, it reaffirmed its dedication to pursuing expansion opportunities in the European market. The company is poised to leverage its existing expertise to share insights from China's fuel cell industry with global partners, aiming to establish collaborative technical frameworks, innovative business models, and a strong industrial ecosystem for hydrogen energy.
SHPT's participation in the World Hydrogen Summit marks a pivotal moment in its journey, indicating not just a foothold in Europe but a vision for a sustainable future powered by hydrogen. With the company’s commitment to innovation and collaboration, it is ready to contribute significantly to the global shift towards cleaner energy solutions.
