DENSO's Cece Par: A Role Model Honored with 2025 Women MAKE Award

Celebrating Excellence in Manufacturing: Cece Par's Achievements

DENSO Corporation proudly announces that Cece Par, an operations manager at their thermal manufacturing facility in Battle Creek, Michigan, has been recognized with the prestigious 2025 Women MAKE Award from the Manufacturing Institute. This honor places Par among an impressive cohort of 130 women across the nation who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and impact in the manufacturing industry.

Cece Par’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Originally hailing from Burma, she joined DENSO in 2012 in a temporary capacity, and with limited proficiency in English, she faced significant challenges. However, her dedication, resilience, and commitment to growth allowed her to flourish within the company. Over the years, she has not only honed her professional skills but has also significantly optimized production processes and fostered a sense of community within her workplace.

A Leader in Sustainability

Par's most notable achievements include enhancing production efficiency and significantly reducing wastewater in the manufacturing process, which has substantially contributed to the facility's sustainability goals. Her innovative mindset has helped to improve both outputs and environmental stewardship at DENSO.

In addition to her operational improvements, Par has taken a leadership role in co-managing the Burmese-speaking production line at her facility. This initiative was designed to provide career opportunities for the Burmese community residing in southwest Michigan, thereby strengthening local ties and fostering inclusivity. Par actively supports initiatives that benefit local Burmese families and organizations, demonstrating her commitment to community engagement.

Recognition and Future Aspirations

“I’m so grateful to be included among these inspiring award winners,” Par remarked upon receiving her award. “While this is an honor, I also recognize that many other women contribute to DENSO and the manufacturing sector at large. Working with the Manufacturing Institute, I am eager to continue mentoring future female leaders.”

The Women MAKE Awards are integral to the MI's Women MAKE America initiative, which is dedicated to empowering and supporting women in manufacturing. On April 24, 2025, the MI will honor Par and her peers at the Women MAKE Awards Gala in Washington, D.C. The event will celebrate their stories and contributions to the industry, serving as an inspiration to future generations.

MI President and Executive Director Carolyn Lee lauded the awardees, stating, “Each year, we celebrate the phenomenal women who are not only leaders in manufacturing but also dedicated colleagues, mentors, and vital members of their communities. Their achievements serve as powerful inspiration for the next generation.”

A Commitment to Leadership Development

Before the gala, the award winners will participate in a two-day leadership development conference, providing them opportunities to expand their professional networks and further refine their skills. Since its inception in 2012, the Women MAKE Awards program has recognized over 1,700 honorees and emerging leaders, emphasizing the growing impact of women in manufacturing.

Todd Greer, a vice president of manufacturing at DENSO’s Battle Creek facility, shared his admiration for Cece, stating, “You’ll often hear from our team members that Cece ‘makes us shine.’ Her contributions not only enhance our operations but also positively affect our community. We greatly appreciate everything she does.”

DENSO has previously celebrated several winners of the Women MAKE Awards, formerly known as STEP Ahead Awards, including Denise Carlson in 2021 and Monique Radersma in 2022. Par’s recognition highlights the company’s ongoing commitment to fostering talent and diversity within its workforce.
