SPIRE Academy Celebrates National Track & Field Champions
SPIRE Academy, located in Geneva, Ohio, recently marked a monumental achievement in the realm of track and field at the Adidas Indoor Nationals held in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on March 22-23, 2025. The academy's team not only clinched two national titles but also showcased exceptional performances across various events, marking a memorable event in their athletic calendar.
In the
Girl's 200 Dash Championship Finals, Kadia Rock from Bridgetown, Barbados, sprinted to victory with an impressive time of
23.94 seconds, earning her the national championship in the event. Rock's performance was a testament to her dedication and hard work, showcasing the elite training provided by SPIRE Academy.
Not stopping there, the SPIRE Academy also triumphed in the
Girl's 4x400 Relay Championship Finals. The team, which consisted of Kadia Rock, DaQuana Howell from Georgetown in the Grand Caymans, Kaylee McIntyre from Opelika, Alabama, and Jenna-Marie Thomas from Chaguanas, Trinidad and Tobago, finished first with a remarkable time of
3:51.83. This victory not only highlighted their outstanding teamwork but also their individual talents orchestrated perfectly under pressure.
Other notable performances from SPIRE athletes included:
- - 2nd place in Long Jump by Kelan McCullough from Bryson City, North Carolina
- - 3rd place in Long Jump by Brooklyn Taylor from Alliston, Ontario
- - 4th place in 60-Meter Hurdles by Jenna-Marie Thomas
- - 4th place and 2nd place finishes for DaQuana Howell in the Freshman 60-Meter Dash and Freshman 200-Meter Dash respectively
- - 6th place in the Boys 4x400 Meter Relay
