Transforming Leadership at Trojan Steel
Trojan Steel, LLC recently appointed John C. Pritchett as its President, positioning him to lead the company's expansion in the competitive joist and deck manufacturing sector. This move comes as part of a broader strategy to strengthen Trojan Steel's market presence and enhance its operational efficiency.
With a background rich in leadership and manufacturing experience, Pritchett's appointment marks a pivotal moment for Trojan Steel, which has been actively seeking to build its manufacturing capabilities. According to Jason Ormsby, the Founder and CEO of Trojan Steel, the search for the right leader extended beyond typical industry boundaries. "We wanted someone who possesses the skills to scale business operations and has a proven track record in leadership roles," Ormsby stated.
Pritchett’s extensive resume includes twelve fruitful years as the General Manager for the Fort Worth Division of Ben E. Keith Beverages, where he successfully boosted sales from $125 million to $198 million. His entrepreneurial spirit came to light when he founded Wild Acre Brewing Company in Fort Worth, which he transformed into a leading craft brewery in North Texas and subsequently sold in 2022. Most recently, he served as President of Current Brands LLC, where his expertise enabled the acquisition of a manufacturing facility, allowing for in-house production processes.
In the words of Jonathan Calvert, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer at Trojan, the complexity of the steel market requires a unique understanding. "Steel is a commodity, but brands hold significant value. We needed a President who recognizes this distinction, and John fits the bill perfectly," Calvert noted.
As President, Pritchett will be responsible for overseeing the company's operations and the growth of its manufacturing capabilities amidst increasing market demands. Ormsby will continue shaping Trojan's strategic direction and long-term objectives, working alongside Pritchett to navigate the challenges of the manufacturing landscape.
Pritchett expressed enthusiasm about joining Trojan Steel, stating, "Some companies you join; Trojan is one you believe in. The market potential is evident, the team is passionate, and the culture and technology are well established. It's time for us to get to work!"
