This August, Ginza Mitsukoshi will host the
PEARL & CORAL EXHIBITION - Ocean's Miracle, a six-day event that unfolds from
August 20 to 25, 2025. This exclusive showcase will feature stunning jewelry and artworks that highlight the exceptional beauty of pearls and corals, two natural treasures that embody the spirit of the ocean. Japan is renowned for its gorgeous pearls and corals, and this exhibition aims to raise awareness about marine conservation through various interactive experiences.

For centuries, pearls and corals have captivated humans around the globe. The exhibition will display a variety of rare jewelry collected not just from Japan but from oceans worldwide. Attendees can look forward to an immersive experience that includes educational art installations focused on marine preservation and community engagement events.

Join renowned illustrator and children's book author, Tomo Nagai, as he creates vibrant live art for the
Beautiful Ocean Project, featuring
Akoya no Aco-chan, the project's mascot. Through manga, she will communicate the challenges that marine treasures like pearls and corals face today.
Live painting is scheduled on August 20, 23, and 24, from noon to 6 PM.
- - Experience the World of Coral
This exhibition will also allow visitors to engage with massive natural coral pieces harvested from Japanese waters and beyond. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to witness and learn about coral first-hand. Additionally, there will be a station for hands-on interactions, encouraging all to appreciate the beauty of coral. The exhibition aims to create not just viewing opportunities but tactile experiences to foster a deeper connection with these oceanic wonders.
- - Jewelry Consultation Services
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own pearls and corals for expert advice on repairs or enhancements.
Mitsuishi Jewelry will offer consultation services throughout the event, where experts will provide insights on restoration needs, expected turnaround times, and potential costs involved.
Keeping your coral jewelry well-maintained is essential for longevity. Award-winning coral sculptor
Noyuki Mano will offer free polishing for one coral item per visitor, with additional consultations on care. He'll be available on August 23 to August 25, from 10 AM to 1 PM and 3 PM to 7 PM.
An Artistic Showcase
The exhibition is not solely about jewelry and marine preservation; it also celebrates the artistic interpretations of pearls and corals. Attendees will witness breathtaking pearl art along with innovative coral sculptures crafted through traditional techniques fused with contemporary flair. Highlights will include masterpieces from renowned artists showcasing the elegance of marine materials through jewelry and art.
