Meijer To Open New Supercenter in Plymouth Township

Meijer has announced the grand opening of its latest supercenter, marking a significant milestone as this will be store number 130 for the retailer in Michigan. Set to open its doors on September 30, this expansive 159,000-square-foot facility is located at 48025 5 Mile Rd, poised to serve the local community with a comprehensive shopping option.

The new supercenter will provide a diverse selection of fresh foods and essential grocery items at competitive prices that Michigan residents have come to expect from Meijer. Customers can look forward to various sections including bakery, butcher, seafood, deli, floral areas, and a garden center. In addition to food, there will be departments dedicated to clothing and home goods. A full-service pharmacy will also be available, featuring a convenient drive-thru option.

A Meijer Express gas station will officially open alongside the store on September 2, enabling quick stops for fuel, snacks, and prepared foods on the go. Patrons can capitalize on the rewards from the mPerks loyalty program, which offers savings on purchases and discounts of up to $1 per gallon on gas at Meijer Express locations. Registration for the mPerks program is straightforward and free, available through the Meijer website or app.

Maureen Mitchell, the Vice President for Meijer's Southeast Michigan region, expressed excitement about the new location, stating, "The value and convenience offered by our Meijer supercenters are unparalleled, and we are thrilled to provide this service to both existing and new customers in Plymouth Township. Our commitment to this area is strong, and we look forward to fostering existing partnerships and forming new ones with local organizations."

In addition to traditional shopping, the new store will feature advanced digital savings tools including mPerks, Shop & Scan, as well as Meijer Home Delivery and Pickup services, catering to shoppers' needs for flexibility and convenience.

Longtime Meijer shoppers will be pleased to discover that the Plymouth supercenter will offer their favorite private brands, such as Frederik's by Meijer and True Goodness. Frederik's by Meijer is known for its premium products that maintain authentic and innovative flavors. True Goodness focuses on providing health-conscious options free from over 100 undesirable ingredients, making healthier choices more available to consumers.

The new establishment is also seeking to fill various hourly, part-time, and full-time positions. Ideal candidates will be those eager to grow within the Meijer team and deliver exceptional customer service. Interested applicants can submit their applications online at jobs.meijer.com/stores.
