Bow River Capital Invests in CloudShare

On April 14, 2025, Bow River Capital, an alternative asset management firm based in Denver, announced a monumental development in the landscape of software growth equity with its significant majority investment in CloudShare. This marks Bow River's sixth platform investment from its Software Growth Equity Fund II, reflecting a strategic move towards enhancing innovative solutions in the realm of virtual training.

CloudShare has established itself as a market leader in the Software as a Service (SaaS) sector, providing AI-assisted solutions specifically designed for complex technical training and cyber security scenarios. This platform is a preferred choice for renowned global software organizations, including major players such as Atlassian, Motorola, Ping Identity, Palo Alto Networks, and Salesforce.

Founded nearly two decades ago by Dr. Zvi Guterman, who will remain at the helm as Chief Executive Officer, CloudShare is positioned to aggressively pursue expansion initiatives, bolstered by Bow River's expertise and resources. The investment aims to enhance infrastructure, speed up global growth, and spur innovations, particularly in AI applications within CloudShare's offerings.

Dr. Guterman highlighted the reasoning behind collaborating with Bow River, citing their exceptional track record in scaling SaaS businesses and their commitment to prioritizing client satisfaction. He expressed excitement for the strategic growth ahead as the partnership fosters innovation and enhances service delivery.

In addition to Dr. Guterman, the newly established Board of Directors will include notable figures from Bow River, such as John Raeder, Sean O'Connell, and Abdullah Ghuman, alongside Ben Jubenville, a leading SaaS operator from Bow River's Power Network.

John Raeder, Bow River Capital’s SGE Vice Chairman, expressed enthusiasm about this investment, stating, “We are excited to partner with CloudShare, which has expertly addressed a variety of internal and external client needs, including mitigating cyber risks and enhancing sales training effectiveness.” This reflects Bow River’s confidence in CloudShare's capabilities and the potential for future growth.

Moreover, Sean O'Connell, Bow River's SGE Vice President, emphasized their commitment to catalyzing organic and inorganic growth. He acknowledged CloudShare’s outstanding technology and customer loyalty, noting how these factors validate their faith in the company’s trajectory within the sector.

Legal counsel for the transaction was provided by Morrison Foerster LLP, with Thinktiv serving as the strategic technology partner throughout the due diligence process. Additionally, AGC Partners acted as financial advisor for CloudShare.
