Mercury GSE Welcomes Eric Davis as New Vice President of Operations to Bolster Service Leadership

Mercury GSE Strengthens Leadership with Eric Davis

Mercury GSE, a preeminent provider of ground support equipment (GSE) rental, leasing, and management solutions across North America, has recently announced the appointment of Eric Davis as its Vice President of Operations. This strategic move aims to reinforce the company's position as an industry frontrunner in delivering service-driven GSE solutions.

With over 28 years of experience in the aviation ground support equipment sector, Davis brings unparalleled expertise in global aftermarket operations, service strategies, and substantial operational leadership. His solid record of enhancing fleet performance, improving customer support delivery, and establishing high-functioning service teams across multifaceted, multi-location environments significantly positions him well for this new role.

Prior to his tenure at Mercury GSE, Davis held the position of Director of Global Customer Care at Oshkosh AeroTech. In this role, he managed a team of nearly 80 professionals spread across several international locations, overseeing a global base of over 25,000 GSE units. His primary responsibilities included service delivery, parts support, and initiatives aimed at enhancing customer experiences for airlines, cargo operators, and ground handlers worldwide.

As Mercury GSE's new Vice President of Operations, Davis is set to spearhead operational strategies and executions across the company's already-established North American platform. His responsibilities will encompass service delivery, fleet efficacy, and further expansion of the company's nationwide support framework. Working closely with Mercury’s operations leadership team, he will aim to enhance field service capabilities, standardize internal processes, and improve response times and performance uptime.

Bob Travis, President of Mercury GSE, expressed his optimism regarding Davis’s arrival: "Eric brings a level of operational leadership and global perspective that will immediately strengthen our ability to support customers at scale. This is not about building a platform—we’ve already built it. Eric’s focus is accelerating performance across an established national operation and continuing to raise the standard for service, reliability, and uptime in our industry."

CEO Jason Gendron echoed this sentiment, emphasizing Davis's proven operational competency and his ability to construct customer-centric service teams: "As we continue to grow, his leadership will be critical in strengthening our operational foundation and ensuring we maintain our reputation for providing consistent, prompt, high-quality support to our customers in every market we serve."

Davis’s appointment signals Mercury GSE’s ongoing investment in operational excellence and its unwavering commitment to delivering high-performance GSE solutions that are supported by preventative maintenance programs and 24/7 breakdown assistance.

In addition to Eric Davis, recent executive appointments include Karla Harrington as Vice President of Leasing and Joe Davis as Vice President of Customer Experience, further demonstrating Mercury GSE’s commitment to enhancing leadership and operational scalability.

The Mercury GSE team will be present at MRO Americas in Orlando from April 21 to 23, 2026, inviting attendees to visit their booth 3903 to learn more about their latest initiatives and strategies.
