The Results of the 6th Room Showcase Contest
The Ai-Wa Real Estate Company, based in Fukuoka City and led by President Daisuke Abe, has unveiled the winners of its 6th Room Showcase Contest. This event, designed for residents of its managed properties, received an unprecedented number of entries this year. Through a combination of public voting and internal judging, the best room designs were selected and are now displayed on a dedicated webpage.
Purpose of the Room Showcase Contest
Ai-Wa aims to create apartments that evoke the feeling of "I want to live here because it’s unique.” With an eye towards the future, they are developing properties based on the changes in rental demand resulting from population aging and declining birth rates. By targeting specific groups of residents and addressing their needs, the company hopes to foster a “new rental demand.” The contest serves as a platform to convey the voices and photographs of current residents to property owners, helping to illustrate the true value of their properties while also learning from the innovative lifestyles and preferences of the residents. This feedback will be invaluable for future conceptual real estate developments.

Insights from Keisuke Hirataki, Head of Concept Division
Keisuke Hirataki expressed joy in witnessing how each resident has taken pleasure in creating their own unique spaces, through interior design, arrangement, lighting, greenery, items, and even pet-friendly spaces. He remarked on the strong sense of the company’s “housing box” being effectively utilized as a “living stage.” The creativity showcased in aspects such as natural light, window design, wall treatments, and storage solutions was highly instructive for the planning and design team, marking this year's contest as an enriching learning experience.
