Informa Markets Announces Major Relocation for ProPak Asia 2026 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani

Informa Markets to Relocate ProPak Asia 2026 to IMPACT Muang Thong Thani

In a significant development for the processing and packaging sector, Informa Markets has declared that ProPak Asia 2026 will be relocated to the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Muang Thong Thani. This decision, announced by Mr. Sanchai Noombunnam, Country General Manager of Informa Markets Thailand, comes in response to the growing demands and expectations associated with the exhibition.

The ProPak Asia event, with its long-standing tradition, has consistently drawn a vast number of exhibitors and attendees. In 2025 alone, the exhibition attracted over 2,000 brands from 42 countries and welcomed more than 72,000 visitors. Utilizing 55,000 square meters of space, the event generated impressive trade value exceeding THB 5.5 billion. Such success and capacity challenges at its current venue necessitated a move to a more expansive location to facilitate continued growth.

The IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center is hailed for its state-of-the-art facilities and convenient accessibility by various transportation modes, including the skytrain and proximity to major airports. These features will enable more exhibitors and attendees to participate, enhancing the event’s overall profile. This strategic relocation aligns with ProPak Asia's vision of evolving into a global hub for the manufacturing, processing, and packaging industries.

With the ambitious goal of establishing itself as the premier processing and packaging event in the Asia-Pacific region by 2027, ProPak Asia 2026 is set to become a world-class exhibition by 2028. Already, an impressive 95% of the exhibition space has been pre-booked during the prior ProPak Asia event, reflecting high confidence within the industry.

The event is poised to showcase the latest technologies and innovations while fostering connections among exhibitors, businesses, and stakeholders through ProPak Connect. This digital hub integrates global ProPak events and encourages collaboration across the industry ecosystem.

Prominent figures in the packaging sector, including Mrs. Luciana Pellegrino, President of the World Packaging Organization (WPO), echo the industry's growth trajectory. The packaging domain is projected to burgeon in alignment with other sectors such as food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, and e-commerce. With an expected increase in market value from USD 1.28 trillion in 2025 to USD 1.69 trillion by 2034, the focus remains on sustainable practices. The WPO endorses ProPak Asia as a vital partner in this evolution towards innovative, eco-friendly packaging solutions.

The Asian Packaging Federation, represented by Dr. Joseph Ross S. Jocson, also recognizes the importance of this event. The region's packaging market, expected to hit USD 190.55 billion in 2025, is among the fastest-growing in the world, fueled by a burgeoning consumer base and trends toward personalized and sustainable packaging.

Furthermore, Mr. Ali Badarneh, associated with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), emphasizes the organization's commitment to driving innovation within the industry. UNIDO's partnership with Informa Markets signifies support for initiatives that seek to address contemporary global challenges including food security and environmental sustainability.

ProPak Asia 2026 is scheduled to take place from June 10-13, 2026, and attendees can expect a collaborative environment focused on the evolution of the packaging sector. To learn more or to register for the event, visit www.propakasia.com.
