Announcing the 'SAFE' Demo Day 2025
The American Center for Mobility (ACM) is gearing up for its highly anticipated annual event, the 'SAFE' Demo Day, scheduled for Friday, June 6, 2025. This event will not only celebrate innovations in vehicle mobility but will also provide a platform for showcasing significant advancements in Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Hosted at ACM's exceptional proving grounds located in Ypsilanti, Michigan, this event promises to deliver live demonstrations that highlight real-world applications of CAV and ADAS technologies. The focus will be on improving transportation safety for all road users through the effective implementation of cutting-edge technologies.
One of the marquee demonstrations this year will be conducted by Michigan Technological University (MTU), who will showcase its real-world application of CAVs, ADAS, and Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication systems. As part of the initiative funded by the Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (DOE ARPA-E) called NEXTCAR, MTU will introduce an open CAV development platform and participate in an exciting mixed reality autonomous vehicle demonstration.
In addition to the MTU demonstration, ACM and its partners will exhibit numerous ADAS testing capabilities. This includes innovative solutions such as a heated target featuring infrared detection, and pedestrian scenarios known as NCAP ADAS VRU (Vulnerable Road User) testing in collaboration with AB Dynamics. Moreover, the testing of heavy-duty vehicle-to-car Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) will also be showcased, highlighting the remarkable advancements aimed at traffic safety and efficiency.
As we gear up for this dynamic day, ACM will continue to announce additional exhibitors and partners who will be part of the event.
Registration for the 'SAFE' Demo Day is set at $100 per attendee, which includes lunch. For anyone or any organization looking to secure a spot as an exhibitor, please reach out via email at [email protected].
