Since the launch of Dubhe Plan 1.0 in 2018, ChangAn has established itself as a leader in smart vehicle development. The earlier initiative laid the groundwork by achieving key milestones such as 100% connectivity for all new models since 2020 and integrating advanced driver-assist systems into its vehicles. Furthermore, it pioneered L3 autonomous driving technology, originally certified in China. The successful implementation of a voice-operated control feature with the AI assistant, XiaoAn, which currently serves around 4.68 million users, further highlights ChangAn’s innovative capabilities.

Advancements of Dubhe Plan 2.0


Under the scope of Dubhe Plan 2.0, ChangAn has introduced significant advancements in intelligent management, smart networks, and human interaction with vehicles. Their goal is to create vehicles that not only integrate AI in a meaningful way but truly understand and cater to the needs of their drivers. To achieve these goals, ChangAn focuses on four core intelligent innovations designed to meet the growing demands for green travel in Europe. Notably, starting in 2025, ChangAn plans to discontinue the development of conventional vehicles, signaling a firm commitment to its intelligent transformation.

With increased investments in technology research and development, ChangAn is also advancing its next-generation batteries. A new semiconductor battery developed and tested in China boasts an energy density of 400 Wh/kg, promising a driving range exceeding 1,500 kilometers on a full charge. AI-controlled remote diagnostics have led to a remarkable 70% boost in safety data, aiming to mitigate hazards associated with liquid batteries.

A functional prototype of this semiconductor battery is expected by the end of the year, with installation and verification slated for 2026 and mass production anticipated by 2027. Additionally, ChangAn is implementing an advanced centralized circular network architecture made with a software-defined approach (SDA), which is in series production and will debut alongside the CHANG-AN E07 model.

Supported by a global research and development team of 13,000 specialists from over 30 countries, ChangAn is at the forefront of integrating top-tier technologies into its vehicles, offering intelligent and sustainable mobility solutions on a global scale. The recent event in Europe also marked the debut of the ChangAn DEEPAL S07 model, showcasing advanced features aimed at enhancing passenger comfort, safety, and overall practicality.

With a highly adjustable 15.6-inch touchscreen, integration of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an AR-head-up display, this vehicle exemplifies the future of in-car technology. Safety features such as a 360-degree camera, a driving recorder, and a transparent underbody view complement the user experience, along with gesture recognition and customizable scene modes.

As ChangAn accelerates its entry into the European market with its intelligent technologies, it reiterates its dedication to promoting low-carbon, sustainable travel, placing itself at the forefront of future travel by delivering efficient and smart solutions for eco-conscious European consumers.
