Parkview Health Recognized as No. 1 Nonprofit by Inspiring Workplaces Group
Parkview Health: A Leader in Nonprofit Recognition
In an impressive achievement, Parkview Health has been designated as the top nonprofit organization in North America and earned the 31st spot overall on The Inspiring Workplaces Group's 2025 Top 100 list. This recognition was announced during a celebratory banquet held in Chicago on June 30, 2025. Parkview Health's ascent in the rankings is remarkable as it also featured on last year's list, finishing at No. 18 overall and No. 3 among nonprofits in North America.
Dena Jacquay, the Chief Administrative Officer at Parkview Health, credited their altruistic workplace culture to their dedicated team of over 16,000 individuals, stating, "Our more than 16,000 co-workers are the daily source of inspiration that makes Parkview's culture great." This culture, according to Jacquay, is significantly influenced by the positive attitudes and compassionate care provided by their staff. The organization fosters a constant feedback loop that leads to impactful changes, enhancing the benefits and programs available for their workforce.
Dr. Ray Dusman, the president of the physician and clinical enterprise at Parkview Health, emphasized the importance of empowering team members to take an active role in their work environment. He stated, "They're the ones who know their roles best and can spot opportunities to make their jobs more efficient, safer, and higher quality for the patients they serve." This collaborative effort ensures that quality, safety, and excellent patient care are at the forefront of their operations, driven by a culture that encourages co-workers to speak up and grow within the organization.
The Inspiring Workplaces Awards stand out by asking entrants to substantiate their commitment to their workforce instead of merely submitting a survey. Participants are evaluated based on six key elements: culture and purpose, leadership, well-being, inclusion, employee voice, and employee experience—essential components for cultivating a “PeopleFirst” culture.
Parkview Health's well-being initiatives have been highlighted for the second consecutive year, receiving special recognition, along with its commitment to inclusion efforts. Their in-house MyWell-Being department is dedicated to promoting the physical and mental health of their workforce. The team coordinates a range of programs like physical fitness challenges, nutritional support, and mental health resources including free subscriptions to the Calm app and therapy dog visits.
Furthermore, Parkview’s commitment to inclusivity aims to enhance both employee and patient experiences. They have implemented Co-worker Resource Groups focusing on veterans, mental health, and working parents, which promote peer connections and community strength. Their health equity initiatives include improved translation services for patients and wellness programs targeting underserved communities.
On the Top 100 list alongside prominent organizations including Sweetwater, Siemens Energy, and SurveyMonkey, Parkview Health’s performance puts them in contention for the global Top 100 list, where they previously ranked 19th overall in 2024.
This recognition is part of a broader set of accolades that Parkview has received, with prior rankings including No. 7 on Newsweek's Most Loved Companies list and recognition as a Forbes Best-in-State employer for three years running.
As Matt Manners, founder of The Inspiring Workplaces Group, noted, "This isn't just a feel-good approach, it's a fundamental business strategy." He highlighted that in a world increasingly shaped by AI, organizations prioritizing profits over their people risk facing significant long-term setbacks.
