From January 5th through February 28th, 2026, the Mercure Tottori Daisen Resort & Spa invites guests to embark on a culinary adventure celebrating the magnificent flavors of Tottori's winter. Nestled at the foot of Mount Daisen, this resort is set to pamper food lovers with an array of sumptuous, seasonal offerings. The experience starts as soon as you check in, with a welcome drink made from locally sourced shijimi clam broth, warming guests from the inside out.

As guests arrive, they’ll be treated to a unique welcome beverage—shijimi clam dashi, a specialty of the San'in region. Rich in minerals and calcium, this nourishing drink is not only comforting but also revitalizes from the chilly weather, offering a perfect way to relax after a journey.

Experience the serenity and beauty of the Japan Sea and Mount Daisen from the twelfth-floor lounge. This is the perfect setting to enjoy selected sake from local breweries, heated to your liking to enhance their flavors—ranging from a gentle warm sake to a robust hot one.
The two highlighted choices during this period are:

  • - Chiyomusubi Junmai Karakuchi Jun-Kara (Chiyomusubi Sake Brewery, Tottori) - Highlighting the umami of the five hundred man rice, this sake delivers a clean finish that enhances its flavors when warmed.

  • - Gassan Junmai Karakuchi (Yoshida Sake Brewery, Shimane) - A rich and flavorful sake that becomes even more delightful when warmed, showcasing its deep umami essence.
