Excitement Builds for 'Laughing Reading 3'

The anticipated theatrical performance, Laughing Reading 3, is set to take place from September 11 to September 13, 2026, at Otemachi Mitsui Hall in Tokyo. This production brings together an incredible cast, including renowned voice actors like Fumi Hirano, Noriko Hidaka, Takako Ohta, and comedy star Miyuki Oshima from the trio Morimachi.

This unique series, produced by Hiroshi Mizushima, started in 2015 with a simple yet bold concept: a reading performance dedicated entirely to laughter. It has garnered attention for its exceptional blend of voice acting, comedy, and theater, creating a fresh and entertaining experience for audiences.

For this third installment, the lineup is nothing short of spectacular, featuring voices from across genres, including legends of voice acting and skilled comedians. The cast also includes Kisho Taniyama, Yumiko Kobayashi, Fumihiko Tachiki, Koichi Sakaguchi, Jackie-chan, Chihiro Asahi, and of course, the talented Mizushima himself, promising a rare and unforgettable experience for all attendees.

The production consists of four hilarious omnibus pieces, each highlighting the richness of humor. The scripts are penned by distinguished writers such as Takemi Moriya, Yumiko Kobayashi, Masashi Sada, and Miyuki Oshima, ensuring the depth of humanity and warmth within the laughter will be captured beautifully.

Director Minoru Nosaka of Nosaka Lab returns to helm the production, promising a well-crafted and engaging performance.
