FeelWorks Launches Campaign to Rediscover the Joy of Management Stories

In recent years, many workplaces prioritize efficiency and time performance, diminishing the joy of building personal connections between managers and their teams. With an alarming trend of young professionals avoiding managerial roles, often referring to them as a 'punishment game,' it is necessary to remind everyone of the meaningful and fulfilling aspects of management.

In response to this challenge, FeelWorks, a Tokyo-based company dedicated to enhancing management capabilities, is launching a public collection of inspiring management stories under the banner of '#Heartwarming Management Stories.' This initiative stems from the publication of their founder Takao Maekawa's latest book, 'Heartwarming Management Stories: 18 Joyful Experiences of Management That No One Taught You.' The book aims to showcase the warmth and human connection that can arise in leadership roles.

The project invites all individuals, whether they have been in charge or are team members, to share their touching experiences involving managers or direct reports. For instance, managers are encouraged to recount significant moments when they witnessed their team's growth or express gratitude. Similarly, team members may share experiences where their managers supported their aspirations or made the workplace more comfortable and conducive for communication.

Every contributor will receive a complimentary white paper entitled '6 Steps to Management Skills for New Managers and Leaders.' This specially designed resource provides practical management insights that can be readily applied in various roles or used as a reflective tool for personal growth.

As more stories come in, FeelWorks plans to curate these experiences and present them through their podcasts, social media channels, and newsletters. While all submissions will be edited to remove identifying details, the essence of each story will remain intact. This initiative aims to highlight the positive narratives of management, helping others envision workplaces that foster collaboration and celebrate personal achievements.

Participants can share their stories through a dedicated online form, which requests personal details including their name (with an option for anonymity), and then the story itself. FeelWorks ensures compliance with privacy, guaranteeing that no company names or personal identifiers will be made public.

The push for this campaign reflects a broader necessity for cultivating human-centered workplaces, particularly in an age where technological efficiency often overshadows the importance of interpersonal relationships in business environments. By showcasing each touching account, FeelWorks hopes to inspire a shift in perception toward management roles, elevating them from mere duties to opportunities for personal and communal growth.

Founded by Takao Maekawa, a recognized expert in talent development, FeelWorks emphasizes the significance of nurturing talent within organizations. Maekawa, an author of over 40 books, has extensive experience in leading various training initiatives that enable workers to thrive. The mission behind FeelWorks revolves around creating a society that values people and teams, emphasizing the potential of individuals in a collaborative work context.

As we continue to confront the realities of the modern workplace, FeelWorks aims to rekindle the joy of management, one story at a time.
