APsystems Unveils Innovative AI-Driven Microgrid Solutions and Residential Solar Storage at SNEC 2026
APsystems, a leader in solar energy solutions, made waves at the SNEC 2026 expo held in Shanghai, showcasing its cutting-edge innovations in residential solar storage. Staying true to their philosophy of prioritizing safety, the company launched seven new product lines spanning across various energy storage solutions, including AC coupling, hybrid AC-DC coupling, off-grid energy storage, and string systems. The highlighted features include their microgrid solutions and residential storage options that are tailored to meet the growing need for more intelligent and efficient solar storage alternatives.
As the global demand for smarter solar storage solutions skyrockets, APsystems responded with a comprehensive suite designed for both smart balconies and residential homes. Leveraging optimization algorithms powered by artificial intelligence and simplified VPP interoperability, these innovations are poised to redefine energy management. The internal BESS AI model analyzes dynamic electricity pricing, weather conditions, and user energy consumption patterns to promote on-site photovoltaic self-consumption while reducing household energy costs. For instance, the new Lake 6 Plug-in rechargeable energy storage system promises average annual savings of €1,876 per household.
The Lake 6: A New Flagship Product
The Lake 6, featuring 6 kWh capacity, is positioned as a premier solution for balcony solar systems. It is designed to effectively capture and store surplus solar energy generated during the day, enabling its use during peak hours and thereby minimizing energy waste. With a compact and all-in-one design, installation is simplified, requiring no tools, and it maintains broad compatibility with standard household loads. With a rated power of 2,500 W, it can support the majority of high-power household appliances and offers up to 8,000 charge-discharge cycles for long-term stability. Its energy-saving technology reduces standby losses, and the integrated fire-proof design and low voltage structure ensure electrical safety. The device also boasts an IP65 rating, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations, while a low-temperature heating module guarantees dependable operation even in temperatures as low as -20°C.
Advanced Residential Inverters
At SNEC, APsystems also highlighted two advanced residential storage inverters: the hybrid LSH-6 and the AC-coupled LSA-6, designed to cater to various household needs. The compact LSH-6 integrates photovoltaic generation, grid or off-grid power supply, and intelligent energy management. Offering a rated power of 6,000 VA and a peak capacity of 9,000 VA, it achieves a maximum efficiency of 97.6% and supports an impressive 12 kW PV capacity. On the other hand, the enhanced LSA-6 model delivers rated power options between 3.68 kW and 6 kW, with a standby power capacity of 9,000 VA and maximum efficiency of 96.1%. Both inverters are fully compatible with most existing photovoltaic systems, making them ideal for both retrofitting older systems and new residential solar projects.
The inverters are driven by APsystems' intelligent control technology that improves performance and user experience. Their fanless design ensures silent operation at just 30 dB, and the low-voltage architecture minimizes high voltage risks, enabling rapid charging and discharging capabilities of 125 A. Additionally, the inverters feature ultra-fast 4 ms switching capabilities, ensuring stable performance in off-grid mode. Compact yet powerful, the devices are 20% smaller than conventional models, facilitating easier installation through simplified wiring and flexible parallel expansion.
A Vision for Smart Energy Solutions
With four operational modes available, these inverters seamlessly adapt to a variety of home energy storage scenarios, thereby increasing photovoltaic self-consumption and maximizing benefits associated with price arbitrage between peak and off-peak hours. At SNEC 2026, APsystems proudly presented its ecosystem of products, designed around effective, user-friendly, and secure solar storage solutions. With flexible installations and proven reliability, the new range meets diverse residential energy needs, ensuring stable electricity supply and long-term economic gains for users.
