Laura Ritchey Appointed as GEODIS President and CEO for the Americas Region

GEODIS Welcomes Laura Ritchey as the New President & CEO of the Americas

On July 7, 2025, GEODIS, a leading name in the transport and logistics sector, announced a pivotal leadership change with the appointment of Laura Ritchey as the new President and CEO for the Americas region. This significant elevation comes as Ritchey succeeds Mike Honious, who is retiring after a remarkable tenure in the supply chain industry.

A New Era of Leadership

In her new role, Ritchey will oversee a vast network of operations that includes nearly 20,000 employees across eight countries: the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil. Her appointment marks a critical step in GEODIS’ strategy to consolidate its presence and enhance service delivery in both North and South America.

Marie-Christine Lombard, CEO of GEODIS, expressed her confidence in Ritchey’s capability to lead the organization through the complexities of the current logistics landscape. "The U.S. market is crucial in our global network. Laura possesses the industry insights and leadership acumen essential for strengthening GEODIS’ standing in such a vital region," Lombard stated.

Ritchey’s Extensive Background

Laura Ritchey brings over three decades of diverse experience in the logistics and supply chain sectors. Before joining GEODIS, she led Radial, Inc., a prominent provider of e-commerce fulfillment solutions, where she was instrumental in spearheading revenue growth and improving profitability. Her extensive expertise also encompasses significant roles at renowned corporations like L Brands, FullBeauty Brands, and Centric Brands.

Her journey into the logistics field began after a successful start in finance, where she transitioned into supply chain operations that emphasize sourcing, distribution, and strategic changes. Ritchey's unique understanding of the logistics domain, particularly in retail and e-commerce, sets her apart as a leader capable of navigating the evolving dynamics of the industry.

Education and Community Involvement

A graduate of The Ohio State University, Ritchey earned her J.D., MBA, and bachelor’s degrees. She is a certified public accountant and holds a law license in Ohio, reflecting her comprehensive educational background, which enhances her business acumen. In addition to her impressive professional journey, Ritchey actively contributes to the community as a board member for Goodwill Manasota in Florida and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Fisher College of Business at her alma mater.

Transitioning Leadership

As Ritchey assumes her new role, Honious, who devoted 30 years to the supply chain field—two-thirds of which were spent at GEODIS—will continue to support the organization in a consultative capacity. He will assist Lombard during this transition period while maintaining director positions with the GEODIS Foundation and the GEODIS Compassion Fund, ensuring continuity and support as GEODIS welcomes this new chapter in its leadership.

Looking Ahead

As GEODIS embarks on this new journey under Laura Ritchey’s leadership, it aims to further innovate and strengthen its service offerings in the logistics industry. With its established global network and a commitment to operational excellence, GEODIS is excited about the future and the opportunities that lie ahead.
