This prestigious award, established in 2010, aims to recognize exceptional female leaders who play pivotal roles in defining the future of the trucking industry, while simultaneously inspiring others through innovation and leadership.
Meet the Finalists
This year's finalists are exemplary representatives of diverse leadership roles within the trucking sector, each having made a significant, measurable impact within their organizations and the communities they serve. The finalists are:
Angela Lentz - Chief People Officer, Daimler Truck North America
Angela Lentz exemplifies effective leadership within Daimler Truck North America (DTNA), where she oversees the people and culture strategy for one of the region's largest commercial vehicle manufacturers. Serving as a member of the DTNA Operating Committee and the global Human Resources Operating Committee of Daimler Truck, she brings nearly three decades of varied industry experience to her role. This diverse background allows Lentz to effectively connect workforce strategy to operational performance.
Recognized for her transparent leadership style and genuine passion for employee development, Lentz has built strong mentorship relationships throughout DTNA. As a holder of a Commercial Driver's License, she takes a hands-on approach to understanding the dynamics of the industry and the vital role played by the workforce, thereby fostering meaningful connections with employees and stakeholders alike. Her commitment extends to supporting initiatives for the next generation of industry leaders, making her a powerful advocate for women pursuing careers in trucking.

Her leadership has earned her recognition as one of the 2022 Influential Women in Trucking finalists, as well as accolades from various organizations acknowledging her contributions to the industry and broader community.
Sauny Tucker - CEO, Tucker Freight Lines
Sauny Tucker's journey in trucking begins with her upbringing as the daughter and granddaughter of professional drivers, which deeply instilled in her the understanding that behind each truck is a family. She entered the industry in 2001 and, alongside her husband, acquired Art Pape Transfer in 2018, ultimately establishing what's known today as Tucker Freight Lines.
As the CEO, Tucker is focused on safety, human resources, and the growth of her company.
