Spectrum and TeamSnap Expand Partnership to Transform Youth Sports Participation Nationwide

Spectrum and TeamSnap's Game-Changing Partnership

In a significant move for community sports, Spectrum, a leading broadband provider, has unveiled an ambitious multi-year agreement with TeamSnap, the foremost youth sports management platform. This partnership aims to triple investment in youth sports organizations across the United States, a landmark initiative that could reshape the landscape of local sports leagues.

A Commitment to Youth Sports

Effective immediately, Spectrum's collaboration with TeamSnap will enhance and support over 720 youth sports leagues nationwide through 2027. This partnership marks one of the largest investments in youth sports in recent history. It leverages the success of a pilot program launched in the fall of 2023, which began supporting 240 leagues in more than 30 markets within Spectrum's expansive 41-state footprint.

Spectrum has made a profound impact by reaching over 150,000 youth sports households with resources like branded jerseys, field signage, and communication materials. Notably, soccer, baseball, and softball have emerged as the primary sports within this partnership, reflecting the popularity of these activities among U.S. youth.

Sharon Peters, Spectrum's Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "Teaming up with TeamSnap is truly a home run for Spectrum. Our support of TeamSnap champions young athletes nationwide, fosters a love for sports, and creates opportunities that extend beyond the field."

Enhancing Local Experiences

The partnership not only seeks to bolster sports leagues financially but also aims to enhance the overall experience for families involved in youth sports. A significant portion of Spectrum’s financial backing will feed directly back to the leagues, reducing costs for participation, providing scholarships for underprivileged players, and generating new equipment that enhances young athletes' experiences on the field.

For example, Milo Kaminsky from Elmjack Little League in Queens remarked, "Spectrum's sponsorship has allowed us to upgrade our facilities and equipment, providing a better experience for our community."

Targeting Communities in Need

Spectrum's outreach includes various markets where it aims to sponsor local leagues this spring, including cities like Albany, Austin, and Charlotte. In particular, the partnership will bring assistance to young athletes in areas recovering from recent natural disasters. For instance, through TeamSnap, nearly 2,000 youths in North Carolina, affected by hurricanes, will receive support as will communities in Los Angeles recovering from wildfires.

Connecting the Grassroots to Professional Sports

Moreover, this partnership enables a connection between local leagues and big-league athletics through unique experiences. For instance, in collaboration with Major League teams such as the Los Angeles Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays, the partnership has cultivated exclusive game-day events including VIP access for youth players and their families.

These initiatives not only celebrate the accomplishments of local sports leagues but also underline Spectrum's commitment to supporting the communities where its customers and staff reside.
