Ohio Introduces Certified Mental Health Assistant Program

On January 8, 2025, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed a significant piece of legislation aimed at addressing the mental health crisis in the state. The new law establishes the Certified Mental Health Assistant (CMHA) profession, developed in partnership with the Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED).
