In a highly anticipated announcement, Com2uS Japan has revealed that it is in the process of developing a new action RPG titled 'Gachi Akuta The Game (tentative title)'. This game is based on the globally popular anime series 'Gachi Akuta', which features an orphaned boy named Rudo who grows up in a slums inhabited by descendants of criminals. The anime is renowned for its rich social commentary, unique graphic art, and vibrant action sequences.

The anime's popularity is reflected in its performance on Crunchyroll, where it ranked first in average viewership in the United States, Germany, and France. It has consistently placed high on streaming services in countries including Japan, Southeast Asia, and Europe, solidifying its status as a global hit.

Game Features

With 'Gachi Akuta The Game (tentative title)', Com2uS aims to faithfully reproduce the anime's setting and world, reimagining it into a survival action RPG. Players will need to navigate dangerous zones inhabited by the mysterious 'Hanjū', completing missions and returning to safe zones. The game will allow fans to experience stylish action sequences alongside characters such as Rudo.

This RPG is set to be available on major platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Steam, enhancing the visual experience with a blend of cartoon-like graphics and stylish illustrations. What is 'Gachi Akuta'?

The catchphrase of 'Gachi Akuta' is 'Rise from the Depths!' Everything hinges on changing the 'crappy world' we live in!

'Gachi Akuta' follows Rudo, an orphan in a slum filled with the descendants of criminals. Following its inception in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in February 2022, the series has gained accolades, including the Global Special Award at the Next Manga Awards 2022. Creator Ura Na envisioned incorporating graffiti design, collaborating with graffiti artist An Dong Shu to enrich the narrative. Ultimately, the series challenges the concepts of 'common sense,' 'power,' and 'discrimination.' It quickly escalated into an anime adaptation, preparing to air two continuous seasons starting from July 2025, produced by BONES animation studio.
