Astronergy Introduces ASTRO N7s 3.0, Pioneering Solar Technology at Intersolar Europe 2026
In a groundbreaking presentation at Intersolar Europe 2026, Astronergy has introduced its latest flagship residential solar module, the ASTRO N7s 3.0. This launch exemplifies the company’s unwavering dedication to enhancing high-efficiency photovoltaics (PV) for residential use. Unlike conventional solar modules, ASTRO N7s 3.0 employs larger wafer sizes combined with half-cut cell technology and high-density encapsulation. These innovations maximize the use of the cell spacing area, thereby increasing the active surface to improve overall power generation efficiency.
The ASTRO N7s 3.0 is built upon Astronergy’s advanced TOPCon 5.0 cell technology, integrating significant innovations such as ASF (Advanced Surface Finish), PF (Performance Factor), and others that optimize emitter passivation and hydrogen passivation. These technologies enhance light absorption capabilities and enable bifacial energy generation, which, in comparison to standard 455W SMBB modules, could yield an additional 440 kWh of green electricity annually. This is equivalent to powering an extensive range of household activities, including 9 laundry loads, 17 dishwasher cycles, and 73 hours of television viewing.
One of the module's standout features is its high-density, low-stress flexible interconnection technology, providing a seamless design that features a larger active area. This not only enhances its current collection capabilities but also increases energy output while minimizing the risk of microcracks through more uniform stress distribution. Additionally, the optimization of ribbon connections significantly strengthens the bond between ribbons and cells, lending greater reliability and durability over the long term.
Beyond efficiency and performance, the aesthetic appeal of the ASTRO N7s 3.0 aligns with modern residential design trends. The module boasts a sleek all-black appearance and a 20BB design which includes black light-redirecting film (LRF-B) and stylish glass, designed to integrate perfectly with various residential architectures.
Installation is also simplified due to its lightweight and compact design, making it an ideal fit for residential rooftops with limited space. Users can transport and install the module single-handedly, significantly streamlining the setup process.
Aiming to withstand a variety of environmental conditions, the ASTRO N7s 3.0 is designed with enhanced damp heat durability, corrosion resistance, and verified protection against salt mist. It has successfully withstood a 35 mm hail impact test and has been engineered to manage mechanical loads of up to +6000 Pa and -4000 Pa.
With substantial warranties backing the module, including a 25-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty, the ASTRO N7s 3.0 limits first-year degradation to ≤1% and sets subsequent annual degradation at ≤0.4%, ensuring consistent energy production over its lifetime. Environmentally conscious as well, the ASTRO N7s 3.0 is manufactured through a low-temperature process that produces zero VOC emissions, aligning with Astronergy's commitment to sustainable production and a low-carbon footprint.
This module positions itself not just as a solar energy solution, but as a testament to what is possible when innovation, aesthetics, and performance converge in the renewable energy sector.
