GAC Unveils AION UT and Eight Signature Models in Hong Kong



On June 12th, 2025, marked a significant event in the automotive industry with the grand opening of the International Automotive and Supply Chain Expo in Hong Kong. GAC Motor showcased a selection of eight flagship models from their GAC, AION, and HYPTEC brands, capturing the attention of industry experts and consumers alike.

Among the highlights was the global debut of the AION UT, a strategic model designed specifically for the market's evolving needs. Developed by GAC's design center in Milan, the AION UT features a bold aesthetic and a spacious cabin, along with advanced technology such as an AI voice assistant. This model is poised to meet high safety standards in both China and Europe and is expected to go on sale in Hong Kong later this year, offering an elegant and intelligent electric vehicle option for urban consumers.

In addition to the AION UT, GAC presented several models that are already available in Hong Kong. The AION Y PLUS is a standout with its focus on quality and safety, boasting reclining seats for enhanced comfort. For families, the AION V caters to their diverse needs with its high-quality build, cutting-edge technology, and safety features.

The luxurious HYPTEC HT electric SUV stands out with its sophisticated design and includes amenities such as seat heating, ventilation, and massage functions, ensuring exceptional travel experiences for passengers. An overwhelming success in Hong Kong is the E9 PHEV, which has garnered hundreds of pre-orders, showcasing its ability to blend luxury with performance, making it a popular choice in the new energy MPV segment.

GAC's presence at the expo is strategically important, as it targets the right-hand drive vehicle market, which represents approximately 30% of global automotive sales. The company is actively expanding its production capabilities abroad, including the recent inauguration of the GAC Intelligent Factory in Indonesia, on the same day as the expo, which will cater to the ASEAN region.

In addition to showcasing these vehicles, GAC revealed the GOVY AirCab, their first-ever mass-produced flying car, designed to enhance the low-altitude economic ecosystem driven by seamless travel experiences. At the expo, attendees were introduced to GoMate, GAC’s third-generation humanoid robot, demonstrating capabilities as an intelligent receptionist, and set to play a role in public safety and other areas to support the development of smart cities.
