SUNMI Unveils Its New Range of Commercial Products with Windows for Smart Commerce

SUNMI Unveils a New Family of Commercial Windows Products

On October 22, 2026, during the SUNMI Developer Conference 2026 (SDC 2026) in Singapore, SUNMI Technology (06810.HK) made waves by launching a new family of commercial products running on the Windows operating system. This family aims to enhance computing solutions for smart commerce, a sector that is rapidly evolving in today's digital landscape.

The newly introduced product line includes the FLEX 3 WIN models available in 18.5, 21.5, and 27-inch variants, along with the T3 PRO WIN and T3 PRO MAX WIN models. This launch signifies SUNMI's first foray into commercial terminals based on x86 architecture and Windows since 2013, marking a significant expansion beyond their previous Android-based BIoT devices. As Frank Yuan, co-president of SUNMI, stated, “Many retailers still manage their core commercial operations via Windows. Our commercial product family for Windows gives them access to integrated AI within the device and unified device management without needing to rebuild their current systems.”

Bridging Traditional and Modern Technologies

The company emphasizes the importance of adapting technology to fit business needs, rather than the reverse. This new offering allows businesses to upgrade their hardware with integrated AI capabilities directly into the devices. This innovation streamlines processes without necessitating a complete overhaul of established software systems or workflows.

Moreover, many retailers rely on fundamental business systems that utilize Windows for various operations such as ERP solutions, inventory management, and Point of Sale (POS) software. The SUNMI approach carefully aligns with these existing solutions, bringing technological advancements in a user-friendly manner.

Integrated AI for Enhanced Operations

Powering these new devices are Intel® Core™ Ultra processors, which enable on-device AI computing performance of up to 21 TOPS. This feature supports local AI inferencing for applications like AI-assisted selling and intelligent cash register operations while minimizing reliance on cloud processing. The devices run on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC, designed for long-term stability and enterprise-level maintenance. Notably, the FLEX 3 WIN models have received independent certification under the Intel® Premium POS Certification Program, ensuring they meet high standards for reliability and performance.

A Comprehensive Ecosystem

The Windows-equipped models are also designed with a cohesive aesthetic and peripheral compatibility with their Android counterparts. This allows companies to manage both Windows and Android devices from a single platform through SUNMI DMP. The platform facilitates remote monitoring, bulk configuration, wireless updates, and troubleshooting, thus providing an optimal solution adapted for various retail sectors, including specialty stores, supermarkets, and apparel chains.

Global Availability and Future Directions

Global orders for SUNMI's commercial range opened on October 22, with deliveries expected to begin in Europe this November before expanding to other international markets. In conjunction with Intel, SUNMI has also published a technical report discussing the transformation through AI in the retail sector, highlighting the company’s commitment to fostering innovation in smart commerce.
