National Under-60 Sports Wellness Blowgun Championship 2025
On February 14, 2025, the first National Under-60 Sports Wellness Blowgun Championship and the Championship 2025 will be held at the Higashin Arena, located in the Sumida Ward General Sports Center of Tokyo. As of December 23, a total of 46 participants have registered for the Championship 2025, specifically competing in the 10m distance. Participants come from a broad spectrum of regions, including Fukushima, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Niigata, Shizuoka, Aichi, Mie, Shiga, Kyoto, Wakayama, Shimane, and Okayama.
Introduction to Sports Wellness Blowgun
The Sports Wellness Blowgun was established in Japan in 1998 as a new form of sport. Participants aim for circular targets placed between 5m and 10m away, utilizing their breath to propel arrows. A unique aspect of this sport is its emphasis on proper breathing techniques, which are based on abdominal breathing. The competition consists of shooting five arrows within three minutes per round, competing for total points based on accuracy.
