AIST Open House 2025 - An Unmissable Research Experience
On September 23, 2025, from 10 AM to 4 PM, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) will open its Tsukuba Center for a special event celebrating science and research. Under the event’s engaging theme, "Let's Talk About Our Love for Research!", attendees will find a range of activities designed to ignite their passion for science.
Highlights of AIST Open House 2025
This year’s event introduces new initiatives, including a collaborative lecture featuring Takumi Yobino, a popular figure from the YouTube channel "Learn University Mathematics and Physics with Yobino-Takumi." The lecture will provide an intriguing dialogue with three current researchers from biology, chemistry, and engineering, diving into deep discussions about research life beyond university studies.
Attendees will also benefit from guided lab tours led by researchers themselves, with an impressive lineup of 25 different courses available and a total capacity for approximately 1,200 participants. This offers a rare opportunity to witness the exciting work happening behind closed doors in various labs.
Additionally, participants can access an activity space where they can engage with groundbreaking research projects. Notably, the lab spaces will host food booths featuring research achievements turned into delicious creations. Here, attendees will be able to taste the fruits of love for science through unique culinary experiences designed around the latest scientific findings.
Entering the AIST Open House 2025
To participate in this fantastic event, pre-registration is mandatory. Details regarding registration will be available on August 8, with entry registration commencing at 4 PM. Reservations for specific activities, such as lectures and lab tours, will begin on August 29.
