Asti DOCG Takes Center Stage in New York City
This fall, the vibrant wines of Piedmont will make their way to New York City as
Asti DOCG showcases its exceptional wines at
Vinitaly USA, happening on October 26 and 27. Known for its aromatic and effervescent wines, Asti DOCG is committed to sharing its unique heritage and modern interpretations with the U.S. audience.
Celebrating Tradition and Innovation
Vinitaly USA is a significant platform for the
Asti DOCG Consortium, allowing wine producers from the Piedmont region to present their offerings directly to American trade and media professionals. Visitors can look forward to tasting renowned products such as
Asti Spumante and
Moscato d'Asti, celebrated for their delightful flavors and quality. Notable producers such as Cadgal, Cascina Castlet, Terrabianca, and Tenuta Langasco will be present, offering insights into their craft and showcasing a range of wines from the region.
The Asti DOCG booth, located at H18-I18, invites attendees to experience a wider selection of wines while also learning about the unique characteristics of the territory. This event presents an excellent opportunity for wine enthusiasts to deepen their appreciation for the traditional techniques and innovative approaches taken by these producers.
Introduction of Asti Rosé DOCG
A highlight of this year’s event will be a special toast to celebrate the introduction of
Asti Rosé DOCG in the U.S. market. Following its debut in Verona during the earlier
Vinitaly event, this toast will take place at 4 PM on October 26 at the Consortium's booth. Combining the aromatic characteristics of
Moscato Bianco with the vibrant color and refreshing taste of
Brachetto grapes, Asti Rosé DOCG represents a new chapter for the denomination, marrying tradition with contemporary wine trends.
Giacomo Pondini, Director of the Consorzio Asti DOCG, emphasizes the significance of this year: “Vinitaly USA is an important opportunity for us to show the American wine community just how diverse and dynamic Asti DOCG is today, while also introducing the people and territory behind our wines. This year is particularly significant for our denomination, from the recognition of Piedmont's Wine of the Year to the introduction of Asti Rosé.”
