Orvana Minerals Corp. Exceeds Gold Production Guidance in Fiscal Year 2026

Orvana Minerals Corp. Exceeds Production Expectations in FY 2026

Orvana Minerals Corp., a notable player in the mining sector, has announced its production results for the fourth quarter and the entirety of the fiscal year 2026, which concluded on September 30, 2026. The company operates primarily in Spain and Bolivia, where it focuses on gold, copper, and silver production. This latest report reveals that Orvana has not only met but surpassed its gold production goals for FY2026, a significant achievement that reflects the company's strategic operational adjustments and continued focus on efficiency.

Production Highlights

In the fourth quarter (Q4) of FY2026, Orvana reported a substantial consolidated production of 12,947 Gold Equivalent Ounces (GEO). This figure included 10,895 ounces of gold, along with contributions from copper and silver production amounting to 1.0 million pounds of copper and 35,502 ounces of silver. Over the entire fiscal year, the company achieved an overall production of 45,160 GEO, which was comprised of 39,282 ounces of gold, 3.1 million pounds of copper, and 112,499 ounces of silver.

Orovalle, Orvana's operation based in Spain, produced 37,775 ounces of gold in FY2026. This output not only exceeded expectations but also delivered copper production within the guidance range provided by the company. Meanwhile, EMIPA, Orvana's subsidiary in Bolivia, recorded its first production of doré and copper cathodes during Q4, marking a significant milestone in the ramp-up of its operations at the expanded Don Mario Plant.

Strategic Operational Improvements

The company has attributed its success to the strategic implementation of additional contractor services, which helped mitigate challenges such as labor shortages and absenteeism. Juan Gavidia, CEO of Orvana, expressed confidence in the company's ability to maintain disciplined production while navigating the inflationary pressures that have arisen from broader global economic conditions.

Looking ahead to FY2027, Orvana is concentrating on sustaining its production performance and continuously striving for operational efficiency. This includes optimizing the acid leaching and filtration processes at the Don Mario operation to improve efficiency and reliability. The company has set an ambitious target to increase daily throughput to 1,700 tonnes per day by the end of the calendar year.

Future Prospects and Challenges

Despite these promising results, it is worth noting that EMIPA's production during the year fell below the company’s initial guidance, primarily due to unforeseen delays in processing oxide ore and lower-than-expected throughput during the ramp-up phase. Orvana will continue to focus on enhancing output and reducing operational costs as they work to attain their future goals.

As operational conditions improve, Orvana is positioned to leverage its growth potential and advance its projects effectively. The company remains committed to its production goals and enhancing its position within the mining industry.
