In the wake of the devastating earthquakes and floods in the Noto Peninsula, a groundbreaking initiative has emerged aimed at revitalizing the Okunoto area. The project involves a partnership between CAMPFIRE, a leading crowdfunding platform based in Tokyo, and two key organizations: Company C and H from Suzu City, Ishikawa, and Pasona JOB HUB from Minato City, Tokyo. This collaboration seeks to foster sustainable recovery in the disaster-affected region while creating new economic opportunities.

Background and Challenges



The Okunoto region has faced significant hardships due to the major earthquakes in January 2024 and unprecedented floods in September of the same year. In response to these crises, CAMPFIRE activated its disaster support team to explore ways to assist affected businesses and communities through crowdfunding. They have been working on various initiatives, including emergency funding drives and reduction programs for business operators.
