Creative Art Workshop at Maishima Kids' School
On August 29, 2026, Taiyo Kogyo Co., Ltd., a leading developer of large-scale membrane structures, took part in the hands-on event titled "Maishima Children's School". This initiative, held in Osaka's Maishima, utilized materials from the Expo 2025 pavilion to offer an exciting workshop called "Create Art with Expo Materials!"
The event, orchestrated by the Osaka City Konohana Ward and Castle Hotel Co., with planning and management from H2O Machigenki Partners Co., was designed as a social experiment that unites local communities, businesses, and government entities. The aim was to foster a sense of belonging among children in Maishima and encourage them to collaboratively develop the future value of their city.
At Taiyo Kogyo's booth, children had the opportunity to explore the unique properties and textures of membrane materials used in architecture. Through the hands-on experience of creating original artworks, the workshop not only nurtured children's creativity but also helped to give back to the community by promoting the legacy of the Osaka-Kansai Expo. Approximately 40 children participated in the workshop during this single-day event.
Taiyo Kogyo is committed to leveraging its expertise and technology in construction and manufacturing to deepen connections with local communities and support the development of the next generation.
