Shenzhen Presents Theme Song for APEC China 2026

On November 2, 2026, Shenzhen proudly announced its official theme song for the upcoming APEC China 2026 event, titled Meet You Where Wonders Bloom (在奇迹之城遇见你). This exciting project is a collaborative creation led by the Promotion Department of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, with the production managed by the Shenzhen Media Group.

A Fusion of Talent and Inspiration

The song has been penned and composed by He Muyang, a prominent musician and vice-president of the Chinese Musicians Association, who is also associated with Shenzhen. The vibrant, youthful sound of the song captures the essence of ordinary people's dreams, intertwining their personal aspirations with the remarkable growth of Shenzhen and the broader vision of regional cooperation in the Asia-Pacific area. Singers Jane Zhang and Joseph Zeng, both well-known in the music industry, lend their voices to the track, adding a touch of star power to this significant project.

A Visual Journey through Shenzhen

Accompanying the theme song is a beautifully crafted music video that exceeds the typical city showcase. It focuses primarily on people, highlighting the stories of various individuals, especially the youth and international residents of Shenzhen. This approach illustrates the energy and allure of the city, affectionately known as the 'City of Wonders', and warmly invites the global community to join in the upcoming festivities of APEC.

The music video, with a duration of 4 minutes and 45 seconds, features a stunning assortment of 176 scenes filmed across diverse locations in Shenzhen, showcasing the city's unique architecture, culture, and vibrant street life. More than 100 local residents participated in front of the camera, bringing authenticity to the visual narrative. From coordinating the filming locations to ensuring that participants were gathered, the entire city came together, underscoring its commitment to serving as an APEC host.

A Melody for Global Unity

As Shenzhen gears up to host this prestigious international event, the lively melody of the theme song reverberates through the streets, symbolizing the city's openness and hospitality. The song acts as a call to action for participants, inviting attendees from near and far to experience all that Shenzhen has to offer.

Through this artistic endeavor, Shenzhen not only showcases its rich culture and vibrant community but also reinforces its role as a key player in fostering cooperation and dialogue among economies in the Asia-Pacific region. As the city prepares to welcome the world for APEC 2026, Meet You Where Wonders Bloom serves as an anthem of unity and hope for a brighter, more connected future.

This initiative marks a significant moment for Shenzhen as it embraces its role on a global stage, ensuring that its story and that of its people are shared with the world during this momentous occasion.
