WizWe Presents Innovative Cancer Screening Project at GATEWAY Tech TAKANAWA 2025

WizWe's Contribution at GATEWAY Tech TAKANAWA 2025

WizWe, a company known for developing and operating the habit-forming platform Smart Habit, recently took part in the co-creation event "GATEWAY Tech TAKANAWA 2025" held from May 13 to 14, 2025. The event was aimed at realizing benefits for the planet and featured various programs that brought together businesses, local governments, universities, and startups to address societal challenges.

At the event, WizWe participated in the "Match-up Challenge" program, where they collaborated as a partner with Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company. WizWe is also involved as a co-creation partner in the insurance product "Best Style Health Cashback for Cardiovascular Disease" from Meiji Yasuda.

The GATEWAY Tech TAKANAWA 2025 event served as a platform for startups and companies with specific challenges to match and present innovative solutions. WizWe's CEO, Kohei Moriya, presented a co-creation project focused on enhancing cancer screening among women in the workplace. The project, titled "Creating a Smart Workplace Cancer Screening Through Behavioral Change and Personal Agents," was developed in collaboration with Meiji Yasuda and Cancer Scan Co., Ltd.

Addressing a Critical Issue

Breast cancer affects approximately one in nine women, and the incidence rate is rising. However, the screening rate in Japan remains comparatively low, even among developed countries. This project is designed to build a system that supports women in attending cancer screenings through their workplaces and incorporate insights from Meiji Yasuda's vast experience in women's cancer care.

The initiative leverages behavioral nudges from Cancer Scan to encourage women to seek screenings and utilizes WizWe's expertise in fostering behavioral change. The core concept of the project revolves around the principles of "Recognizing, Acting, and Continuing" to create a packaged support system aimed at helping women employees be more proactive about their health.

To achieve this goal, several specific initiatives are contemplated, including:
  • - Providing educational content like women's cancer seminars
  • - Creating and distributing the "Women's Cancer Screening Guidebook" in collaboration with participating companies and Cancer Scan
  • - Offering continuous follow-up support to eligible participants through WizWe

By implementing these initiatives, the project seeks to enhance awareness and promote actionable change among women regarding cancer screenings in corporate settings. WizWe plans to recruit partner companies located in the Takanawa Gateway City area to trial these initiatives and assess their effectiveness and impact on screening rates.
