GAC Unveils the GOVY AirCab and Air-Ground Matrix at Hong Kong Auto Show 2025

GAC Unveils Innovative Air-Ground Mobility Solution

On June 12, 2025, GAC made waves at the International Automotive and Supply Chain Expo in Hong Kong with its remarkable showcase of innovative vehicles and strategic announcements. The company introduced its first mass-produced flying vehicle, the GOVY AirCab, and eight flagship models from its key product brands, GAC, AION, and HYPTEC.

During the event, GAC also launched its Hong Kong Action Initiative, an extension of its global strategy, One GAC 2.0. This initiative aims to strengthen GAC's presence and brand recognition in the Asia-Pacific region by tailoring its offerings to meet local market needs.

GOVY AirCab: The Future of Urban Mobility

The highlight of the event was the global debut of the GOVY AirCab, which is among the world’s first multirotor vehicles slated for mass production. With aspirations to redefine urban transport, GAC plans to commence test flights in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area this year, aiming for initial customer deliveries by the end of 2026.

Feng Xingya, GAC's chairman, emphasized the company's commitment to quality, technology, and consumer experience, framing the GOVY AirCab as a significant milestone in their ongoing journey towards innovative mobility solutions.

Product Strategy: Expanding Horizons

In line with its product strategy, GAC has plans to launch the premium compact model, AION UT, in Hong Kong by the second half of this year. The AION UT is characterized by its sleek design, spacious interior, and advanced intelligence features, offering a seamless combination of style and functionality.

Moreover, GAC is enhancing its retail channel footprint in Hong Kong. By the end of the year, the company aims to open a service center and showroom to better serve its customers.

Services and Infrastructure Developments

GAC is also keen on introducing a Continent Travel Permit for Hong Kong residents, enabling them to use their GAC vehicles across both regions. As part of its broader service enhancement, GAC plans to build 300 ultra-fast charging stations throughout the city, collaborating with ONTIME Mobility to create a more convenient mobility ecosystem by 2028.

Global Expansion Plans

The launch in Hong Kong serves as a pivotal moment for GAC's global expansion strategy, which was previously inaugurated with the Thailand ACTION initiative at the Bangkok Auto Show in March. As GAC's Indonesian smart factory commenced operations in May 2025, this ongoing commitment to globalization highlights the company's drive to enhance its market presence through innovative technologies and strategic partnerships.

Political and business leaders attending the Hong Kong event praised GAC’s efforts, recognizing the company's ambitious vision for the future of transportation. GAC sees Hong Kong as a central hub in its goal to continually advance towards a smarter, more sustainable mobility infrastructure.

As they navigate this exciting transition, consumers can expect an exceptional mobility experience that integrates quality, service, and cutting-edge technology. With the GOVY AirCab leading the charge, GAC is truly steering the future of transportation.
