Gallery Tamenaga's New Chapter in Aoyama
From September 21 to October 26, 2025, Gallery Tamenaga will host the "Beginning Exhibition" to commemorate the opening of its new space on Antique Street in Minami-Aoyama. Since its founding in Ginza in 1969, the gallery has played a significant role in the establishment of numerous museums and has garnered support from a large community of collectors over the past 56 years.
Recognizing the vast changes in Ginza from a hub for cultural figures to a trendier locale, Gallery Tamenaga's shift to Aoyama comes at a pivotal time, aiming to enhance the area's cultural landscape. With a wish that the Antique Street becomes a new cultural center, the gallery hopes to create a space where visitors can enjoy artworks that captivate their hearts in a rejuvenated setting.
The exhibition will feature new works specially created by 20 talented artists currently showcased in the gallery, inviting attendees to immerse themselves in the dynamic expressions displayed in the transformed space.
