PayrHealth and DocSpera Form Partnership to Enhance Ambulatory Surgery Centers' Compliance and Patient Care

Starting in 2027, CMS will require that at least 45% of Medicare patients undergoing certain procedures, such as total knee and hip replacements, report their outcomes. This system will allow ASCs to integrate seamlessly with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to identify eligible Medicare patients. The patient experience will be enhanced through intuitive, text-based surveys and mobile tools, eliminating the need for patients to download additional applications. This experience aims to increase participation and ensure accurate data collection.

One key feature of the solution is the tracking of patient-reported outcomes over various timeframes, such as 30, 60, 90 days, and one year. This systematic approach will help demonstrate clinical improvements while simultaneously enhancing patient engagement. ASCs can also automate reporting directly to CMS, lightening the administrative load on healthcare staff.

Moreover, by leveraging the collected outcome data, ASCs will be equipped to perform quality benchmarking, which can strengthen negotiations with commercial payors, thereby improving reimbursement terms for healthcare providers.
