On September 22, 2026, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud introduced Saudi Arabia's first flagship electric vehicles under the CEER brand: the EXOBOT electric sedan and SUV. This significant unveiling underscores Saudi Arabia's determination to enhance its position in the global automotive industry while embracing technological advancements and sustainable practices.
The EXOBOT models represent more than just vehicles; they embody the nation's innovative spirit and national aspirations. Designed, developed, and manufactured in Saudi Arabia, these flagship vehicles are part of a broader lineup that will be launched over the next five years. The strategic aim is to align with the broader “Saudi Vision 2030” initiative, which seeks to diversify the country's economy and develop a robust industrial base.
During the launch event, the Crown Prince emphasized the importance of this milestone, stating, "The introduction of CEER’s first vehicles marks a significant step towards building a sustainable and flourishing industrial ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. It also strengthens the automotive sector’s role as a crucial engine for economic growth, attracting investments, fostering national talent, and enhancing the private sector's involvement to further establish Saudi Arabia as a leading regional and global hub for this industry."
The EXOBOT sedan and SUV are the first two models in a planned portfolio consisting of seven distinct vehicles, which will include mid-range and compact models available with various powertrains to cater to diverse customer needs. All CEER vehicles will be manufactured at the CEER Manufacturing Complex (CMC), the largest automotive production facility in the Middle East and one of the most technologically advanced globally.
Each EXOBOT vehicle is designed with a distinct aesthetic inspired by Saudi Arabia's unique landscapes, rooted deeply in its culture and reflective of the nation's ambitions. These locally conceived and constructed vehicles adhere to the highest international standards, further solidifying Saudi Arabia’s emergent status as a formidable player in the global automotive landscape.
Looking ahead, CEER is projected to contribute approximately $8 billion (over 30 billion SAR) to Saudi Arabia's GDP by 2034, alongside an estimated $21 billion (over 80 billion SAR) improvement to the trade balance while generating high-quality direct and indirect jobs. The announcement is in line with the Public Investment Fund's (PIF) efforts to establish a competitive and integrated local automotive ecosystem, acting as a key driver of economic diversification in Saudi Arabia. The PIF launched CEER in 2022, aiming to propel the development of national industrial ecosystems, attract investments, create opportunities for the private sector, and boost Saudi GDP.
