Innovative AI Features to Transform the Fan Experience at Roland-Garros 2025

Revolutionizing Fan Experiences at Roland-Garros 2025

In an exciting announcement, Infosys, a leading global provider of digital services, has collaborated with the French Tennis Federation (FFT) to unveil several innovative AI-driven features designed to enhance the fan experience at the Roland-Garros tournament in 2025. This year marks the seventh consecutive year that Infosys has served as the official AI and digital innovation partner for this prestigious event.

AI-Powered Innovations for Fans

Infosys is leveraging its powerful AI toolkit, Infosys Topaz, to introduce immersive and interactive fan features that redefine how audiences connect with tennis. Here are some of the standout innovations for 2025:

AI Commentator

This feature allows fans to experience the highs and lows of matches more intimately. By capturing every dramatic turn, it delivers play-by-play commentary that brings each moment to life. The AI Commentator provides player-specific angles, point-by-point updates, and game highlights, ensuring a personalized and engrossing viewing experience. It employs real-time analytics powered by large language models (LLMs), augmented by agent-based AI that operates on multi-agent orchestration.

AI Stadium

Advancing what we know as virtual reality fan zones, AI Stadium enables fans to visualize their personal 3D tennis arenas. Utilizing voice commands, they can create a range of environments—from futuristic setups to nature-inspired settings—in seconds. This capability allows for rapid image generation specifically optimized for immersive VR experiences. With this playful feature, fans step closer to their unique tennis universe, giving a fresh perspective on the sport.

Generative AI Poster Challenge

This year introduces a new dimension to creativity with video generation capabilities. Fans can create short, AI-generated clips inspired by iconic French landmarks, artistic styles, or tennis themes. In the Infosys Fanzone, fans can enter an immersive LED cube where their personalized posters come to life through dynamic animations. The function adheres to responsible AI principles, ensuring ethical usage in generative AI. Winners of the challenge will receive tickets and vouchers for the tournament.

These AI innovations build on Infosys's existing advancements in technology, integrating machine learning and applied AI to enhance features such as the Match Centre, AI videos, and AI-supported journalism. Continuous evolution and the addition of new functionalities aim to boost player performance, fan engagement, and the overall tournament experience.

Community Engagement and Support

Beyond technical advancements, Infosys is partnering with Fête le Mur (FLM), a charity affiliated with FFT, to foster technology-driven learning initiatives for underprivileged youth in Paris. FLM is developing tennis-related educational modules on the Infosys Springboard platform, which promotes digital inclusion and social impact. A group of 60 students will have the opportunity to attend Roland-Garros and participate in AI and technology workshops led by Infosys experts. Additionally, the winner of a contest to identify the biggest Rafa Nadal fan will receive an exclusive two-day experience at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Spain.

Sumit Virmani, the Global Chief Marketing Officer at Infosys, stated, “Sports are undergoing a technology-driven transformation. At Infosys, we are excited to lead the way in tennis. Each year, we create unique experiences for the Roland-Garros community using our extensive technological expertise. With AI reshaping industries globally, we are thrilled to harness its power for this tournament. AI-driven insights and personalized, exciting commentary offer fans immediate access to comprehensive information and detailed analyses. On the other hand, the Gen AI Poster Challenge provides limitless creative expressions. It is a thrilling time for tennis enthusiasts, allowing them to savor the exhilaration of the sport both on and off the court.”

Stephane Morel, CEO of the FFT, added, “Our partnership with Infosys is transforming the fan experience at Roland-Garros through AI. With this year's technological innovations, Infosys once again demonstrates how AI can push the boundaries of fan engagement. From researching game information with generative AI to celebrating our heritage through the Poster Challenge, we aim to forge deeper connections with our fans at every touchpoint, both locally and globally.”

The Roland-Garros tournament 2025 will take place from May 25 to June 8. For more information about the partnership or the tournament, please visit Infosys Roland-Garros.
