Apaman Network's Dance Project in Ishikawa
Apaman Network Corporation, the leading company in apartment rental brokerage, has launched the 17th edition of its dance project featuring the beloved character, Bear-kun (べあ~君). This initiative is a part of the company's effort to showcase the charm of each of Japan’s 47 prefectures through dance and social media. The latest project kicks off on August 27, 2025, focusing on Ishikawa prefecture, with the theme of "Yukitsuri and the Elegance of the Kaga Million Stones (加賀百万石の雅舞)."
Background and Objectives
The aim of this project is to enhance community engagement and promote the unique features of each prefecture in Japan. Through energetic performances by Bear-kun, the company hopes to capture the attention of viewers and convey the allure of various local landscapes and products. The campaign aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and seeks to contribute to creating sustainable cities and communities. It also aims to stimulate economic growth through increased visibility on social media.
A Dance Inspired by Ishikawa’s Culture
The setting for the 17th edition will be Ishikawa, renowned for its cultural elegance and home to one of Japan's top three gardens, Kenrokuen (兼六園). The choreography will artfully incorporate elements of the traditional Yukitsuri, a winter practice used to protect trees from snowfall, along with the rich cultural heritage of the Kaga Million Stones.
Key Dance Elements:
- - Yukitsuri Pose: Bear-kun creates a triangle shape with his arms above his head, mimicking the Yukitsuri form. He gently moves his hands as if protecting trees from snow, representing kindness.
- - Symbol of Kaga Million Stones: Using fans and towels, Bear-kun adds graceful movements that reflect the splendor of Kaga Million Stones culture.
The choreography incorporates various movements, including jumping, stepping left and right, and striking a characteristic pose on one foot, creating an engaging experience for both participants and viewers.
Showcasing Ishikawa's Lifestyle
Ishikawa is centered around Kanazawa City, recognized for its cultural depth and historical significance. The area is rich in traditional aesthetics, featuring landmarks such as the exquisite Kenrokuen garden, samurai residences, and tea districts, all of which embody the region’s commitment to preserving its historic beauty.
Additionally, the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen has greatly improved access, enabling a more seamless connection with metropolitan regions. This advancement opens up possibilities for a lifestyle that balances modern convenience with deep cultural experiences.
The local cuisine, famous for its fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan, as well as Kaga vegetables and traditional sweets, adds another layer of appeal to life in Ishikawa. With its compact urban layout, the region allows for an enriched living experience and provides a harmonious blend of history and contemporary life.
