Asahi Kogyo Joins the Future Complement Project as Content Partner
Asahi Kogyo Co., Ltd., based in Minato, Tokyo, has recently announced its commitment to join the educational initiative known as the "Future Complement Project" as a premium content production partner. This project is a collaboration between academia, industry, government, and civil society aimed at fostering dialogue between children and their parents about the future.
At the heart of the project is an educational animated film titled "Future Complement Project," which addresses social challenges anticipated for the year 2050. The film aims to empower children with thought-provoking questions such as "What would you do?" It’s more than just watching a film; students will have discussions in school and engage in conversations at home, expanding their learning to include interactions with businesses and society, creating opportunities to envision and shape the future together.
The film’s total production is overseen by producer Osamu Suzuki and targets around 6,330 educational institutions across Japan, reaching approximately 7.116 million children and their parents, an estimated total of about 17.5 million participants. The distribution is slated to begin in April 2027 and will continue for a decade until 2036.
Asahi Kogyo operates under a long-term vision known as "ASAHI-VISION 2050," which carries the slogan "Creating an Exciting Future – Imagination & Creativity." The company views educational support for the children who will shape the future as a crucial aspect of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. The alignment of the goals and philosophical ideals of this project with the company's vision motivated them to participate as a premium partner.
In this role, Asahi Kogyo will also serve as a special lecturer for the "Future Classes," where they will share insights on the theme, "What are the secrets to an ideal school environment?" The focus will be on three key aspects: air, water, and heat, helping children understand the comfortable environments they often take for granted. This initiative aims to ignite their imagination and encourage discussions on future school environments and facilities.
Through its participation in this project, Asahi Kogyo aims to contribute to the development of future leaders and to advance the realization of a sustainable society.
